Thanks. It's very easy to use. Just set the timing and let it run. You upload the file from the SD card, and it's a movie - ready to go.

I have a niece that runs a Louisiana public library. She bought a couple Brinnos to teach kids about photography and videography.

Thanks Jerry! Is there a tripod mount underneath it?

Nice. What are the time lapse options? Do you have interchangeable lenses?

That's neat. I have never heard of these... I have been planning to try some time lapse stuff with my SX50 - mainly clouds and stuff - but this looks like a pretty good alternative at the price.

Thanks for posting...

DSLRs can make fantastic time lapse movies, but I don't want to shoot thousands of images with my camera just to make a 60 second video. If I were making an income from them, that would be different. The Brinno is perfect for what I want.

Yeah, the shutter count is what puts me off a little. Have you ever tried shooting stars with it? That is the only other thing I would like to do time-lapse of, and so far, I haven't managed to get a decent exposure with the SX50. Looking at the specs, the Brinno can shoot a large number of exposures, but how much control do you have over the length of the the exposures?

I guess my other option would be to buy a cheap old dslr and a decent lens, and dedicate that to the timelapse stuff...

Did you shoot those videos with the standard lens that comes with the Brinno? I just got the 200 Pro HDR model and am fooling around with it.
