A beautifully restored Datsun 2000..taken at my Car Club while we were getting ready for a run...
The last pic has my car hidden amongst the people..you can just see the "SX"...(where the SX2002 comes from)

A great-looking car indeed. Nicely composed, particularly the first three images. I wish there were fewer people (or better yet, no people) in the frames, but sometimes that just isn't possible.

Yes, in this case it was the run briefing and there was no way to remove them...LOL
This is my car, the one hidden in the last pic, if you are interested...

That last picture looks so familiar - a bunch of people standing around looking at cars. It's the same the world over.

It was actually the run briefing Jerry...the guys on the verandah were reading us the notes and filling us in on the day's activities...

Great photos of an incredible automobile. I owned one of these from 1969 through 1978. What an idiot I was to sell it. I rebuilt the engine to the competition version with the Solex carbs. It could out drag most muscle cars of the era. Some day maybe I will find one that I can afford to restore and drive.

Thanks for posting.

My first job was OJT as part of high school automotive mechanic training, Harrisburg, PA, at Model Motors, a Datsun dealer there, 1969'ish. I remember prepping many a Datsun 2000 and 240Z car. Biggest problem we had was synchronizing the carbs. Ah, the memories.....

My mate wanted to sell me his way back in the 70s...wish I had bought it... :-(
I know what you man about how quick they were...my car (pictured above) is as quick or quicker than most modern "muscle" cars with a sub 6 second 0-100ks and a top speed of 250k/h...
