Woke up this morning to a nice clear cold morning, but by 8am a very thick fog had rolled in. Of course I had to drive around the farm for some photo ops.
Down where the cattle where having their breakfast I spotted our local Bald Eagles who have made their home on our farm. We are so lucky to have them on our farm.

Taken with my Canon SX50 with 50x zoom, this is about the best shot I got of them

Assuming you were more interested in the eagles than the fog, here is a version that has the tonal range and color balance adjusted.

If the original intent was to capture the fog, you won't like this one.

OOPS, forgot to check Store Original. If you want to save a copy I'll repost it.

Oooo Thank you this is really good. You can see the color of the eagles more clearly but still see the fog. Very nice.

I assume that means you would like me to repost with store original so you can download it.

Considering the ambient lighting & fog, these are excellent eagle pics in my opinion.

Definitely did well considering the heavy fog. I can appreciate how exciting it must be to have them live on your farm! Any sign of nest building?

Thanks Linda, we are so lucky to have them on the farm. No I keep trying to follow them but can never see where they go to nest.

You are lucky to have the pair on your property and close enough to get a photo. I have been trying for years to get a shot. We have a pair on the lake this time of year, but you need to really look for them. And they are away from people. Nice shot.

Very nice. How cool is it that you have your very own eagles? ;)
