Wow! These are some of the best Macro shots I have ever seen, simply amazing. Thanks for posting them. I have been wanting to learn how to do Macro photography myself so I would like to know what equipment and settings you used to capture these shots.
Thanks, guys! I use a Canon T3i and a 430exII flash with a diffuser, and a Canon 100mm macro lens. I shoot at either 100 or 200 ISO (depending on light), shutter 200, and usually around f/13 or 14 to give enough depth.
All the images are well done. Hoverfly in flight is outstanding... Do you remember what shutter speed you used?
Thanks! Here is the image before I cropped it. It wasn't near a flower or anything, and it was my only attempt at getting one in flight...I got pretty lucky. The exif is under the photo:

Welcome to the forum. These shots are wonderful.
Your fly is in for a nasty surprise! I believe that the white spheres on it's back are eggs of a parasitic wasp, or similar. Excellent studies!
Based on your 'Intro' thread, your Avatar image is a bit deceptive: "I've been shooting for almost 2 years, I'm a Canon guy, and I shoot everything from Macro to the stars and everything in between." Initially, I thought that we had another female macro-photographer in our ranks. Now I am disappointed!

Welcome & you found the right place. Love the "in flight" photo.
Excellent. A pleasure to see.
