After reading the HDR thread I have a question.
How does one eliminate unwanted objects in a photo?
Like trees, telephone poles and wires...without cutting them down?

Thanks NYWeb. Can you point me in the right direction to learn how to do this? A program recommendation and a tutorial I can log into would work...Thank you.

I don't have one yet. UHH has so many choices I don't know which one to choose.
I'm an oldie with film but in my diapers on digital. Still studying the assets of a bridge camera I bought last month so that tells you I don't really know gee from haw for now.
Some program for a dummy would do, but maybe cloning is beyond my reach for now. What do you think?

I wouldn't worry about trying to get a nice editing program and going through a steep learning curve. I had my camera for a year and took about 8000 shots....THEN I got an editing program ! The best way to learn a little about editing is to use the programs that are supplied by the camera manufacturers when you buy a camera.... surprisingly they are very good, simple, and easy to learn !!

Thanks, NYWEB. The only problem I have with that is I bought the camera used from KEH and it didn't have the software package. I've read that the manufacturer wants way too much money for the replacement package, considering what it contains.
I love that house picture.

I have a Panasonic FZ-50.
Haven't graduated to Canon or Nikon yet.

This is the software that comes with Panasonic's. It looks like a free download on the second page. If you can download it, this is all you need !

Got it! Thank you, NYWEB, I owe you one.
I've read complaints about Silky but these apparently come from folks who have more elaborate programs.
For now I'll be satisfied to have something just to get my feet wet. To the nyweb2001 family I wish a very Merry Christmas and I hope next year will be the best you've ever had.
