I am a retired Technical Illustrator. I also photographed industrial and electronic equipment for a Technical Publications firm.
My work goes back to the 1950's (I'm an old bird, 87 yrs old). I used an 8x10 Deardorf View Camera, all B&W.
After retiring I started to carve Realistic song birds and birds of prey. For the past 12 years most of my photography is for subject matter for my Watercolor Paintings. Due to my age, I don't get out very often to do much shooting. I have attached
a few copies of my paintings. Hope you don't mind. Looking forward to seeing your photos...... Frank

Hi colagÂ…Welcome to the hog, and happy new year. Your story parallels mine. I started off as a Technical Illustrator in the 50's also and went on to become an Advertising Creative Director. But before that i worked for Ramo-Wooldridge (R/W) before it was TRW, as one of their main airbrush artists. I too have had and used an 8x10 Deardorf View Camera. Along with various medium format cameras. Nice to meet up. PM me if you would like to. Oh, I'm 77 years young. Your paintings are magnificentÂ….I also use my photos to paint from.
