And nothing to eat? They generally clean out my crap apple tree in late January and my bird berry tree later in the spring. I never have figured out why they are so regular in their visits.

They eat the olives from our Russian Olive trees, they hang around for quite a while in the winter. I love them!

Sitting in the spruce tree, I could not see their object of attention ...the olives. Cool.

We have Canadian cherry trees too, they are gone, but the birds LOVE those! Sadly the trees need to be cut down in the spring, big snow earlier this winter broke them badly, they will not make it through the winter. :(

WOW!!! That's a lot of birds in that tree. I've only seen them once here in SE Florida. Very pretty birds.

The Cedar Waxwings arrived last year in my yard (SW Florida) in two flocks I estimated to total about 400 birds. I was alerted to their presence by the "whoosh" sound they make when the flock turns in unison.
