Help!
Last night I was testing the new RAW capability in Aperture for my new Olympus E-M1. I shot a few photos both in JPG and RAW to see how it would work. The previous day I did the same thing and had no problem. But last night most of the RAW files came up purple in Aperture. They looked fine as I imported them, but when I clicked on them and they were loaded into Aperture they became purple. Not all of them. I used a variety of white balance settings, and that didn't make a difference. I tried a different SD card tonight for 12 photos and there wasn't a problem - no purple. Could it be the camera, the SD card, or Aperture? I haven't a clue, and really don't want this to happen when I'm taking photos for real. I'm enclosing one set as an example. The good JPG and the purple RAW.
Any thoughts as to why this happened would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. (The photos aren't very good. They are just for testing.)
Does apeture support RAW from the EM1? I know LR5.3 does.
I wonder if some of the files were corrupted in some way - did you try to delete them from Aperture altogether and reimport them to see if it happens consistently?
Aperture DOES support the E-M1 RAW files now, as of about a week ago.
No, I didn't try to re-import them. I'll try that now and see what happens.
As for your last statement, not being good...perhaps, but upon download of the first shot, you'll notice, outside of slightly blowing the highlights in the lights, the image is crystal clear with tons of details. Was this shot with the new 12-40?
That's just weird, never had that happen before, and I only shoot raw...

Yes. Love this lens.
Yep...officially jealous now. As much as I'd miss the extra 20mm, I think I need to sell the 12-60mm to fund the 12-40. At least that way, I could use it on my epm2 too.
OK, now it may be an Aperture problem. I put both SD cards in the computer, the one I used last night and the one from tonight, and Aperture didn't see either of them when I clicked on Import. I've used Aperture for years without a problem. Now what???

As far as I can tell, No. That is one that is not on the support list.
But I LOVE Aperture! I'm used to it and don't want to switch.

Do the cards show up on your desktop? That is, can you see them as additional drives on the computer in the first place? When you plus an SD card into a USB drive (with an adapter) it shows up as a new drive - if that's not happening, you've got another issue.

Yes, as of about a week ago it is supported.

Yes, it shows up in Finder (Mac). I just insert it into the SD card slot in the laptop. Been doing that for years without a problem. I just had to get a new battery for the laptop last week. Could they have messed something up? That doesn't seem likely.
