Myrtle Beach SC is a long ways from Anchorage and since the purpose of the trip was a my wife's family reunion, I limited the gear I took. Most of the shots ended up being taken with my 5Dii and 100-400 mm lens. The weather was horrible and the subjects tended to be on the other side of marsh regardless of which side I was on. But since I had no photos of most of these birds, I am a happy camper.

Actually, there are quite a few family photos, but I won't burden UHH with them. Thanks for looking.

Thank you Linda. I look forward to having the time and energy to chase the shore birds with my 500 mm lens. Maybe next year.

Thank you hb3! It was fun trying to get the shots and since they are my first of these birds, I am a happy camper. Have a great day, Bear

Oh and a crab too. You got lots of southern marshy wildlife.
