I was walking along the beach and saw something flying into the air in the distance. I wasn't even sure it was water when I first saw it. What was it? Well here's the answer. It's from dredging an area of a nearby inlet. The dredged sand and water go through a long pipe (1/4 mile or so) and come out here, at a drain pipe. There's a lot of water and pressure surging out. It then goes into Long Island Sound. I've put some pictures below.

Nice! I haven't been there in a while...but I did go stand up paddleboarding this summer at Long Beach as the sun was setting! Of course I got off my board and took pictures of my friends .... it was an awesome night and that beach is gorgeous!!
