Need help with iPad Air case

Help. Got the iPad Air for Christmas, and am now looking to get a case for it. WOW! There are all kinds of opinions out there. I have investigated Otterbox (seems to be the "bulletproof" case), to a myriad of other manufacturers. I don't think the Otterbox is what I need, but a lot of the others report poor fit, bad screen covers, difficulty with accessing jacks, etc. I don't expect a perfect case, but came here because I have found this forum doesn't pull punches and tells it like it is. Thank you in advance for your help.

My wife broke the glass on her iPad 2 twice. (Actually grandkids did it, but I'm not letting her know I believe that story).

I got her an iPad Air for Christmas and a Survivor Military Duty case. The advertising on that case says that it protects against a 6 foot drop, but we haven't tested that yet. The fit is great - complete screen visibility, the on/off and volume buttons work well and the various plug covers look good and work well.

Check out Snugg. I have had two of theirs - one for the iPad 2 and another for the Air. Fit great, have easy access to all ports, switches, etc. leather and tough.

I use the $79.00 smart case from Apple on my iPad Air. It fits snugly and offers the protection that I need. I have a third party case from Fintie as a backup case. The case is okay but not as nice as the Apple case- Amazon has them for under $20.00.

I am not rough on my equipment and I like to prevent any unnecessary scratches to the iPad unit.

I use a Zagg keyboard case for my iPad Air and love it! Lighted keys, long battery life, great protection, light weight.
