Really great catch of a Cooper's Hawk, Bret. Would have liked to have seen that myself.

OK, which is it, a Red Shouldered or a Coopers? Doesn't really matter, It's A Great Shot. I'm very impressed! WOW!!

I am pretty sure it isn't a Red Shoulder. I just went through my hawk folder and It may not be a Cooper's either. May be a Merlin, because it looks a lot like my Merlin shots. (maybe a hawk buff could clear up the mystery) Either way, I agree, It is a great shot.

Thank you all for the comments. I think your rite firtree...I don't think its a Red Shoulder...also I remember it was allot smaller in size...about a 3rd smaller.

Wonderful shot    I agree, that appears to be a Juvenile Coopers Hawk.
