You need a lens hood. So do I. You could try a Polarizer filter. Might help. Unless you want this. Can also be done in Photoshop.

I agree a lens hood may keep the sunspots out although it is a cool effect.

You should take the first one into photoshop and give the yellow orb some eyes and a smile. Nothing like a happy smiley face peeking out the window of a haunted house :)
