I cropped and enlarged these two photos of a Bald Eagle at about 100 feet which is as close as I will get to a wild eagle.

I think I can safely say that right now is as close as I may ever get to a Bald Eagle as well :-o WOW!

Thank you and I don't want to get any closer to a WILD Bald Eagle. They can be dangerous.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Regis, amazing detail at 100 feet!
Good definition and well composed - well taken and processed.
As we used to say, " Hope it's one of ours!"
Amazing photo! Can't say I've ever seen its equal!
(well, I always was a bit impulsive.)
Great photos. Did you use a monopod or tripod?
How did you get so close? Great picture. What lens and settings did you use?
Great shots, Regis. This is not meant as criticism; but as a question because I am a bit confused. In the first photo everything (top of head, eye, beak, wing and wood in foreground) is very sharp. There is an area on the neck that seems softer than the rest of the photo. Since other parts of the photo are very sharp, I would not attribute the softness to a dof issue. Do you know what made that particular part of the photo soft? Again, I think the photos are spectacular; but I'm curious about this one issue.

Just curious -- what lens were you using? Tripod or hand-held?

Duh -- just noticed the clearly labeled Sigma lens. Sorry.
