Canon 60Da vs. Canon T2i with filters??????
I recently had a chat with a friend who is into Astrophotography and does it with a Canon 60Da. He loves it. I would like to do some of the same but the 60Da is in the same $$ playground as the new 70D. If I jump into that playground, I would feel better with the 70D. Now comes the real question. Are there any "add-on" filters available that will enable the 60D to approach the Astro ability of the 60Da? Thank you to those who read this question and to those who answer it. Best wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year.
As far as I know, no add-on filter will give you the same wavelengths as a 60Da, the 60Da works by REMOVING a filter on the chip.
Now if you plan on buying a new 70D for your regular photography anyways, then you can send your T2i in to have the IR/red filter removed then use it for astro and your 70D for regular photography.
