Help With Watermarks

I used primarily Adobe Lightroom (current addition). Sometimes while working on my pictures I go from Lightroom to Photoshop Elements and back and other times to Elemenets and then on to Topaz Simplify 4 or Topaz B & W Effects 2 and then back to Elements and back to Lightroom. The from Lightroom I export them to the desk top and at this stage I can choose a watermark (typically my initials in the bottom left corner). However, some picture work fine, but most do not show the watermark. I have tried with different opacities but nothing seems to help. Have any of you that use Topaz had a problem with this? Where do you think this problem is coming from?

Did you try not using Topaz and just using Elements for example, that would eliminate one source of the problem, at least it would help you to narrow it down!

Are you sure you're adding the watermark to the PSD?
Or the original file from LR?

Orginal file or file from Lightroom? Not sure I uderstand. Once it exports back into Lightroom that is what I export with the Watermark. Perhaps i am not understanding your reply. Could you elaborate?

First, please use the 'Quote Reply' link so we can be sure who/what you're replying to.

To troubleshoot further, you need to pay attention to the extension of the file you're working on.
If you return to LR from PSE, it should change to .psd
And LR should still have the original file from before you sent it to PSE.
So, are you applying the watermark to the psd? Or the original file?

And posting pics of when it works and when it doesn't, along with the workflow of each one, would be really helpful in troubleshooting.

Some photos require black type and some need white.

This may not solve your problem but you may want to create your own signature as PNG file w/ transparency and in different colors. Once in LR Print module and after checking Watermark, to the right select option edit Watermark, at top> check Graphic option, then locate the PNG file and and import it for use. If you have a tablet along with a vector based program, you can get quite creative.
I think also it was mentioned about when bringing your shot back into LR from PSE...you can in LR Preferences under External Editing, tell LR how you want it brought back in I.E. PDS, TIFF or JPG.

I use Topaz programs all of the time and have not run into this issue.

Thank everyone for trying to help. Over the Holiday, I spent some addtional time trying to solve this. I have found that this was not Topaz. I found a blog that there is a glich in Lightroom and a number of people have had problems. This relates to the font chosen and its proportional size. I simply watermark with my initials at the bottom left. I chose Lucida Handwriting Bold Italic. Isent over 72 pics and only two had watermarks and directed.

Does anyone else may a script type font that hey use sucessfully?
