Yes Bangee, You've finally shed light on how irresponsible people are once they die. If you check the history of this Country you'll find that not one dead person ever reported to the Board of Elections that he or she was ineligible to vote and that pathetic zero percent of self reporting has continued throughout the terms of both major parties.
The real question is how many dead people actually voted and I suggest you go ask them. After all they don't get around much and they're probably right where they were buried originally.
If that fails, just call those plumbers from Rhode Island to help you out.
Merry Christmas Bangee.

FrantT..

I have no idea how many dead people voted in Ohio, but being a resident of Illilnois for most of my life... I do know that during the Reign of the Daley's the Dead Voted regularly and often in Cook County Illinois... And if there were not enough votes to get the job done, they were dug up again..

Voter fraud is probably not in Monstrous numbers, but ask yourself.. If I voted for XXX and my vote was cancelled by FrankZ who died 3 years ago... how would you feel....

One is too many fradulent voters... it is that simple

"Showing he’s taking voter fraud seriously, Ohio’s secretary of state recommended Wednesday that 17 non-citizens who voted in the 2012 presidential election be prosecuted."

Can't get your facts straight? The story was about voter fraud not dead people. Are you in favor of voter fraud? It looks like it.

The incidence of actual voter fraud in terms of percentages is so low with neglegible impact on elections verses the disproportionate number of people who now can no longer vote because of changes to election laws, is evidence of a desperate Republican Party whose leaders, by the way, were very vocal about changing the laws in what'ever states they could to prevent certain people from voting. To imply anyone is in favor of voter fraud is ridiculous. But to react with changes to voting laws that have such a sweeping negative impact on such a large voting population reeks of dirty politics. Ask the Texas republican judge (female) whose has voted for years but now cannot vote because recent voter law changes in her state, how she feels about the changes.

I totally agree that the occasions of Fraud are few and far between, although in some places it is rampant... BUT it is like our Government minions saying

It is only a Billion Dollars saved, not worth the doing.

It will take x number of years to realize any return.. (uh huh, if they had done it when it first came up it would be flourishing.)

Voter Fraud is so small it really has no impact... (Well, it would be important to you and I if Our VOTE was nulified because of voter Fraud, wouldn't it...?)

Mike,
I'm not suggesting we ignore voter fraud. I am suggesting recent changes to voting laws in certain states was driven by a Republican Party initiative with the sole purpose of disqualifying a large population of a certain voting block (minorities that include blacks, Latinos and women) to increase the chances of winning elections. These are facts, as voiced by many state and federal republican leaders. Not to get off track, but I always wonder why so many vocal republicans feel their party represents their interest when their party has been very vocal about who they really represent i.e. the 1-3 percent who control our lives. I doubt any of the bloggers here fall in that category.

My own personal tale relating to voter fraud.

My wife had an appointment with immigration to be sworn in as an US citizen on 4 Feb 2008, but she missed the appointment.

In the spring 2012 elections I saw her name on the voter roles, but the signature wasn't hers. Reported it to the poll worker right then and had to fill out some paperwork.

Fall 2012 elections, she is still on there, wrong signature and all. Still hadn't been sworn in nor filled out voter registration info, you don't until after the swearing in. Filled out the same paperwork but went to the courthouse and talked to the director for the county voter registration.

She wasn't on the voter roles for spring 2013.

The reason she missed her appointment was the fact she died 1 feb 2008 from cancer.

Tell me something odd didn't happen for her to end up on the roles 4 years later. Remember, she never registered to vote, where did the paperwork and signature come from?

And yes, I did make a lot of noise about it.
