It is "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" and this is to all members here and their families and friends.

Let us not run Christ out of this country, we need his help.

ummm.... well, if we really want to be historically correct, it's Happy Solstice. And if saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" can run your god out of this country, then maybe you should reconsider your deity, because the one you pray to can't be too powerful if that can get him gone. Just sayin'

To be correct it is Merry Christmas as in Christ - Mas. Jesus is the reason for the season. The winter Solstice has come and gone, marking the first day of winter. How many people even noticed? Our days are getting longer now until the summer Solstice, the beginning of summer when the days start becoming shorter. Have you notice how everyone celebrates Christmas, even the Jews and the Muslims and Buddhist and Hondo's. Its the Money season for them. Merry Christmas Gnslngr, have you got your Christmas shopping done?

I agree. It is "Merry Christmas" at my house. Always has been and always will be. Merry Christmas to you, Racer Dan.

If you really believe that that is what is going to run him off, think again, he is and always will be there. Man in his
arrogance thinks that if he believes in something long enough it will cease to exist.

One Solitary Life

He was born in an obscure village
The child of a peasant woman
He grew up in another obscure village
Where he worked in a carpenter shop
Until he was thirty

He never wrote a book
He never held an office
He never went to college
He never visited a big city
He never travelled more than two hundred miles
From the place where he was born
He did none of the things
Usually associated with greatness
He had no credentials but himself

He was only thirty three

His friends ran away
One of them denied him
He was turned over to his enemies
And went through the mockery of a trial
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves
While dying, his executioners gambled for his clothing
The only property he had on earth

When he was dead
He was laid in a borrowed grave
Through the pity of a friend

Nineteen centuries have come and gone
And today Jesus is the central figure of the human race
And the leader of mankind's progress
All the armies that have ever marched
All the navies that have ever sailed
All the parliaments that have ever sat
All the kings that ever reigned put together
Have not affected the life of mankind on earth
As powerfully as that one solitary life

What if we don't want to be historically Correct... and Happy Holidays has no ability to run Christ out of the Country, but it just shows the ignorance and malice of those that insist on trying to "aggravate" us poor hard working Christians....

In my home it is Christmas. I wish you all a happy time during the Christmas period. If that isn't good enough for you that's tough.
