TTL flash with second manual flash

If I put a manual flash on my Pentax KX on a TTL radio trigger,
will a second TTL flash on a light stand still control the camera exposure, or will the manual flash on the camera break that link.

I hope that makes sense I did a search but could not find anything relevant
Thank you in advance.

Here is a post from Niel Van Niekerk covering pretty much what you are asking....I think....

Thank you, very interesting guide, I was trying to find out if you could do it the other way round, with the manual on the camera and the ttl off the camera.

It's funny. Everything I can find has the TTL flash on camera with the manual flash off.

Thank you very much for looking, I guess it does not work the other way round then. I do like to do things backward just to see if they can be done.

What was the result when you tried. It backwards?

I have not tried it yet I would need a ttl radio triger and a manual flash, before I can see what happens. If it is not possible I may as well get a radio trigger with ttl pass through, much cheaper than one with full ttl capability.

To do TTL flash, an on-camera flash or one connected via a dedicated cord (the master) is used to control the others (the slaves). With the Nikon units, for example, the master sends infrared signals to control the slaves.

Your manual on-camera flash has no capacity to signal the off-camera flash and with no connection between the off-camera flash and the camera body, there's no way for them to communicate either.
