Difficult Decision

I've been agonizing over which lens to buy for my M4/3 cameras.

After a couple of nourishing beers I decided on the Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4. It would be great if it arrives before Xmas.

Joer, I haven't heard of that lens, must not be made by Canon ?!
Hey, I saw something in a magazine not to long ago. Seems they didn't say to much about it. Most of the Leica lenses are small and compact, so should go very well with that camera. Doesn't seem they have a lot of lenses out yet.
Joer, maybe you could just do a few more six packs, and you should be ready for the 50 f.95 by then. The bokeh is not only dreamy, but the colors are really creamy.
Enjoy ;-)

Let us know when it comes by posting some examples.
I don't recall which m43 system you shoot.

Not a bad time to get one, on sale for $529 right now.

I have been using Panasonic G5. Recently got the GX7 which DXO does not rate very highly for the sensor, but I would dispute that. IQ is a composite of light, lens, sensor and technique. Each is important but one can compensate for another. I like the electronic shutter that both have.

I also have the E M1 which I'm just getting into.

I have this lens. In fact, when I first ordered my GX1, it was the only lens I ordered. I used that as my exclusive lens for a month, until I could afford to order a second lens.

That is a great lens. And with m4/3, that 25mm lens is an "equivalent" to the Nifty-50 that so many pro photographers specialized in back in The Golden Age. I still use it a lot (though I now have six m4/3 lenses from which to choose) because it often is the very best choice for what I want to do. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Here is the most complete list of lenses for micro 4/3 lenses I have encountered....

And this does not include all the lenses that can be adapted for manual use....
