Apeture priority. Lights. Umbrellas and reflector. No flash. Canon 5Dm3 warm glow everywhere.

If it's not flash/speedlite, then what did you use as a secondary light source?

My children selected this picture as their favorite this year. Using a Nikon D90, Nikon 18-105MM lens, and off cameral flash.

Settings: OSO 400 - SS 1/10 - F/7.1

This was done in a low lit room. The slow shutter speed allows the lights from the tree to shine more after the flash has gone off.

Have a great holiday!!

If you have the chance, try using rear curtain flash, where the flash fires just before the shutter closes and see if it makes a noticeable difference.
