Sometimes, a shadow is your friend! :)
You are braver than I am. : )
Yes, and when it is "Caster the friendly shadow" you really have life made in the shade...

*smiles and snickers softly*
Such a creative mind...

Not brave... just refused to think this would be destined for the delete button... especially since the shadow is so perfect!
There's symbolism in that shot, too.
Guess I'm just too emotionally attached to it, to not give it some daylight, yanno?
I'm VERY particular about self-photography... not very photogenic... but the challenge (not to mention necessity) of taking them is always one I cannot ignore. :)
Here is my self portrait taken with a kaleidoscope camera ap... in fact, here are two different self portraits.

What a nice gift to share with me! (us all, actually!)
How neat! :)
Actually, all of the photos you have seen (or WILL see)of me, were TAKEN by me.
Yep.
I'm that particular.
(or maybe nobody thinks i'm worth lookin' at long enough to snap photos of me!? *snickers)

I really like this shot. It lends a whole different read to your disposition, here at least. In your avatar, I read that, when combined with your verbiage, saying to me, "now, here's a lady who wants to leave a somewhat strained "deer in the head lights" look but if you make a wrong move, she'll cut you to ribbons. This pic alleviates much of that. You seem as though you'd be actually happy as you carved up some dude with your tongue. Quite a difference.
:-)

I can relate to that! My profile photo is a self-portrait (used a tripod). Ok...so I admit...20?...30?...40?...photos and I finally fine ONE I kinda-sorta like. <Laf'n>

No one is happy with a mirror, at least no one I know, or of a "certain age" you both look great,!

LOL Gracious... I dunno about carving up some dude with my tongue *blush*. That doesn't make me happy at all... I really AM more authentically the version you see in the avatar.
(In fact, I was thinking about someone specific when I took that... I'm sure that makes a difference. Photography relates to mood as much as technique, both when you take the shot and when you view it! "He" brings out the more submissive side of me... although I am naturally, QUITE submissive, personality-wise.
That's what came out in the avatar photo.)
THIS photo, actually was taken during an excursion back to where I was married... with my husband who had JUST come back to "try again" after a pointless 10 month separation.
I wasn't thinking about reconciling, nor reminiscing about when we got married or anything he was hoping for... I was just THRILLED with how GORGEOUS a day it was and excited to see what the photos would look like.
Sad... pathetic, even... isn't it?

I'm not sure who you aimed that at exactly *blush* but I'll accept the challenge!
Will post them in just a bit :)
(Gotta find the most "appropriate" ones at least LOL)
