Well, if you were really looking to take a drive to nowhere, those would be the rides to do it in. Nice looks at some real work horse vehicles

Love the pic. Was there a wagon like this called a "Willis" or something similar.

Ah...the old powerwagon. I think they would go up a wall. Pre-curser to the Mercedes Unimog.

Absolutely Ian. Willys was the original company that developed the Jeep (and staff vehicles) for the US Military in the late 30's, early 40's. (the design got shared during the war and were produced by many auto manufacturers) after the war, Willys made "Club Wagons", Station Wagons, "Woody" Wagons, "Scout" Cars through the mid-60's. Because of design sharing during the war, many of the 40s-50s-60s military vehicles have similar lines.
what is it about these old rusty vehicles that draws us to them? I like the first one with the missing window.
Looks like my backup transportation..
That's where my jeep went. Looks great!
I was raised at Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch outside of Amarillo, TX and learned how to drive with one of these US Army donated Power Wagons. Brings back memories.
I really like them all, but the first one with the windshield out has that "combat" look to it
Thanks for lookin' to all of you......I appreciate and value your opinions and advice.
I am sending this link to my son, he has restored a Willy. It took him about 3 years in between everything else life has to offer (kids, work, etc).
It didn't take him long to look at it haaaaaa. He was way impressed with the Powerwagon. His buddy has 2 of them and apparently they are "Way Cool and 'f ......' awesome
