There are many interesting subjects to photograph in LaJolla including sea lions, a variety of trees, pelicans, and sunsets.

Yes, there are! Welcome to the West Coast, California, San Diego County, and La Jolla!

Thank you. My in-laws live at Scripps Ranch so we try to visit them at least once a year. We spend many evenings in LaJolla watching the sun set.

Did you ever capture any of the "wild life" at Black's Beach? I have many fond memories of that stretch of sand.

Yep. It's where I spent my first 11 months in San Diego back in 1993.

Mike,

It just so happens that I will be going to a company meeting in La Jolla in mid Jan.
Another photo enthusiast and I are going to La Jolla a couple of days early to take advantage of the opportunity.
Neither of us are familiar with the area. Any suggestions or lessons learned.

Psergel:

We'll be out on the west coast in January also. The only problem is that we may encounter some rain even though "it never rains in Southern California". The sunsets at LaJolla are spectacular. There is a walkway all along the top of the cliffs with benches. Pelicans fly by continuously and there is a large sea lion population on the rocks and beach at LaJolla Cove. I hope the weather cooperates and that you get some great shots.

Mike M.
