Colo43,
Many thanks for the reply. Just going over some summer momentos and decided to post a few. Waiting for a major snow event scheduled for later tonight. Got a huge pile of wood stashed in the house, hunkered down for the duration. Solar power so I dont have to worry about the grid going down.
Again, many thanks!
Best regards,
Janko

I went to Bangor and Bar Harbor a few years ago. I had never seen lupines before. I brought seeds back to plant but they never bloomed. Coastal Maine is amazing in the summertime. Keep posting.

colo43,
I am a prolific poster here, probably to the chagrin of others. Some shots I am proud of, some the result of a minor stroke or some other medical malady. I love this site, get to see some truly outstanding work and I admit, snicker at some less than stellar efforts. I am sure i've been snickered at many times.
Will report on the snow, hopefully get some decent shots, batteries are charged and lens polished.
Best regards,
Janko

cahaba,
Thanks for the reply. The secret of starting lupines is to nick the seed coat with a sharp knife and soak the seeds for a while. Once established they grow like weeds, i.e. very pretty weeds and provide great photos.
Best regards,
Janko

All you have to worry about is the sun shining.

Very nice. I like the colors and I also like that it is low tide. Adds complexity to the background.

Very nice photos. The lupines, like the rest of us, now buried under a blanket of snow...

Beautiful coastal Maine shots. I like the composition of the first one best, seems the nicest balance of the group. The vertical orientation of the last also nicely accents the height of the lupines. Well done!
