Great shots but love the one #2. You have good exposure for outside & inside!! What did you use and what settings?

An awesome array of seasonal scenery. Love the pop in the house/wreath, but your last shot is the real Dickens period depiction for me. The surrounding blandness is critical to having the focus stay with the principals and even the slight turn in the walkway is enough to create a nice sightline to lead in.

Thanks for the info. Did you meter? And how long exposure?

I did something like this years ago, but was with film on my NikonF and I used a gossen meter. Someone else on UHH was looking for help on exposing for Christmas decorations outside. I hope he/she sees this. With a little cropping, this would make a great Christmas card.

Edit: Actually they would all make great Christmas cards.

I live in a development and was asked to go around and get pics of the Christmas lights each family put up...at night. There's 50 houses so I will check later today on my Lightroom for the timing. It was cold, my eyes were running, snow all around, and The wind wasn't helpful much either. Yet...I had fun. I'll try to post it later today...Sunday. BTW we lived in Willimantic, Ct for ten years in the late 70's and 80's.
