You might like to check out this lady's site. She makes pretty exhaustive training videos. She's listed all the LR 5.3 changes here

Those of you who are Lightroom gurus, is there anything new in 5.3? Working on learning Lightroom and was curious if anything has changed?
Just noted that I've been with you all for almost a month, and had to reflect on just how much I've learned from this forum already. "course if you don't know much to begin with, then it's all progress. Thanks !!

The update indicated "bug fixes", so not sure if there are any new features. Haven't had a chance to look, having just installed the update yesterday.

I installed it yesterday. Adobe blog says mostly bug fixes and added support for more cameras and lenses. I don't see any apparent difference from 5.2. Lightroom is simple to use right out of the box, but it will take me years to master the finer points. Like keyboard shortcuts that aren't obvious at all. Other than viewing a million tutorials from Adobe and others, there has to be a list of them somewhere...

I use clipmate, a windows clip manager. Basically, anything that I cut&paste, or copy goes in there and stays there until I remove it. I have been using it for many years, and have built up permanent collections of urls, email addresses, all kinds of stuff.

It supports my new camera now...that's important to me.

Lightroom 5.3 also includes Adobe camera raw 8.3 which is a bit of a pain as I do not believe the final version of Photoshop camera raw plug-in 8.3 has yet been released. So I have to keep using Lightroom to render raw images when I move to Photoshop from Lightroom. Not a big deal but it is much slower

Jim ...I did the 5.3 update and it is mostly for new camera updates and a few other minor fixes.......
