The whaling ship Charles W. Morgan was built in 1841 and has recently undergone restoration. It is a featured exhibit at the Mystic Seaport Museum of America and the Sea, in Mystic, Connecticut
Is your photo recent? When I was there this past Aug 3rd the Morgan was completely without rigging. Mystic Seaport is a fun place to visit with a camera.

No. I took this photograph prior to the restoration.
In Spring of 2009, I walked the decks and explored the many nooks & crannies of the Morgan, when she was in drydock. Now, she is once again afloat, but not yet properly outfitted for sailing. Her next voyage will be Spring of 2014.
I still keep my membership to the Seaport, even though I'm 1300 miles away right now. Thier Christmas Lantern Light Tours are awesome nightime phot ops. And the summer Lobster Fest and Chowder Fest weekends are worth the trip.

I wasn't aware of the three events you mentioned rocco. They sound like fun. Something I will have to look into.

They also have a Antique Wooden Boat "Sail In" every year. I have piece of CW Morgan deck in lucite with Certificate of Origin from the last restoration they did in the 80s. Mystic Seaport, Sturbridge Village, Plimouth Plantation, Hancock Shaker Village. All within a few hours, lots of New England 19thcentury history.

With your permission I can post a photo of what the Morgan looked like back in August.
