Frog legs and Snipe

Get them while their fresh. Frog legs that is and I got my 1st Wilson Snipe this morning at the wetlands near home. They are so hard to find because they blend in so well. I saw just a quick movement before he came into view

Great shot. Our son was a wrestler all through school. Their team shirt had a picture on the back much like your number one shot. The bird was trying to swallow the frog head first while the frog had a firm grasp on the bird's neck. The caption was 'never give up'.

I saw that picture also. It was popular in the early 1990's when the BRAC people were trying to close the Navy shipyard I worked at and we were fighting it. When the closure was announced the follow-up picture shows the birds beak clamped down, frog legs lying on the ground and a bulge in the birds neck.
