This were taken on a very chilly evening aboard a Circle Line boat.
Williamsburg Bridge 1983
Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges 1983
Brooklyn Bridge Asleep
World Trade Center - On this shot, which was just ordinary in 1983, there are splotches on the faces of the towers. I tried to remove them but I had to go in so close that the details of the vertical lines didn't match up so I decided to leave them alone. Now whenever I look at this shot I get choked up.
Lady in the Harbor
Brooklyn Bridge and WTC
Looking South from the Empire State Building
Thanks for sharing these. New York is one of the places I'll probably never see in real time, and the shot of the Twin Towers is nice to see. Sometimes it is good to remember. And I always wonder what the statue of Lady Liberty looks like to those entering from the harbor.....now I know.
Hi I have a lot of the same shots from the same boat but in day light. They really look nice at night.
My wife and I have taken the Circle Line and the New York Water Taxi ride a round Manhattan. A great way to spend a day in the "City" I have hundreds of pics of the City and the Hudson River from the boat rides.

Thanks, Singing Swan: Your last remark is right on the money for me. I wanted to capture what my grandparents must have seen when their ships entered New York harbor on the way to Ellis Island. You saw it as I'd hoped I captured it.
