Welcome to UHH

I would have assumed your lens came with a manual, but this may help http://www.shutterbug.com/content/sigma-apo-150-500mm-f5-63-dg-os-hsm-lens-long-range-zoom-image-stabilization

Position 1 for handheld. Position 2 for on a monopod. Off when on a tripod.

Position 1 is for when ever you need optimal stabilization

Position 2 is used when you need to pan this can be done free handed like tracking a bird in flight or with a monopod just remember that in the #2 position stabilization is only working from left to right or horizontal plane.

Like my Dad use to say, "if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all".

So it's "Shaky," "Sort of Shaky," and "Steady."

What's wrong with you? Do you have to work at being so mean spirited or does it just come natural to you? I'm curious, do you pay any attention at all to your feedback list?

I don't have this lens so I can't say with absolute certainty but all the stabilized lenses I know #1 is four directional and #2 is two directional. Use #1 for hand held and monopods with long lenses. Use #2 for panning. Turn it off when using a tripod.

Yet one more idiot post from this total waste of skin. Some people have such a ridiculously pathetic life they feel the need to spread their worthlessness amongst the rest of the world. I will never understand this moronic attitude.
Go away troll!

The correct form of the word slop, when used as a adjective, is sloppy, which describes your grammar.
