I pulled out an archive from a year ago to work on. Decided it had too much sky so cropped it to an 8X10 format a couple of different ways. I got an idea which one I like better but would welcome critical reviews and any reasons why you may like one over the other.

Alright Laska, Not sure what I have any more, other than some I have already posted. Oh well, we have new members now so pre-posted pix would be new for them.

Laska, the canyon shots are for you. :D

I'm new here and glad to be in the mix. I too, am real busy with the Christmas stuff and I lead 2 missions with my church to Nairobi a year to do eyeglass clinics in the slums and am busy organizing an April trip already. One blessing, besides working with the people, is the chance to go on "one in a lifetime" photo safaris. So far, I've done 20 of them! This HDR photo was captured last Wednesday night in Austin, TX at the incredible temperature of 35 degrees. I had to crawl among bushes along a lakefront jogging path, avoid dogs that were off their leashes and keep from being arrested as some pervert with a camera at night! Here is one of the shots. Hope you enjoy....

Do we really have to watch the weather predictions on TV?

I mean, this is the forecast for tomorrow and mare's tails and sick suns don't lie.

pg 29. Must mean cold weather is coming RR? Love the shot with the shed and snow covered wood pile.

pg 30. I like both crops lhammer and am undecided which I like best.....leaning towards the portrait crop as I really love seeing all that beautiful blue sky....and a lovely photo lhammer.

After a wet, drizzly chilling day yesterday the sun is out here today and expecting highs in the 60's (Fahrenheit that is). Saw this leafless tree that I couldn't figure out what it was so I decided it was a Christmas Tree....

...because it had it's own silver balls decorating it.

Full parking lot and lines at the Post Office, now that's Christmas.

I really like the landscape crop the best. Although the sky is beautiful, the rock formations look more grand and doesn't lose their size. Either way they are all great!
