SX50 vs SX130is

Is there much of a difference in the two cameras? Just curious. I have the "SX130is" and keep it in my glove compartment for those spur of the moment unanticipated shots when they occur. I love the images it produces but have noticed many photogs use the SX50. Just curious as to the differences in the two cameras. Normally, I shoot most things with my D7100, but the "SX130is" does come in handy from time to time. Are the differences major?

Two totally different types of camera. The SX130 is a relatively compact camera compared to the bulkier SX50.
SX50 does have much better specs IF you are willing to take up the space that it will. It has better sensor, more zoom, more flexibility at the sacrifice of size.

Completely different cameras! Check the specs and then decide. There's a whole group of SX50 lovers on the hog.

...One cat to another...all depends how big your glove compartment is ! 8-)
...and SX50 is more of a ....all inclusive camera....if that means anything ! :XD: :hunf:

Apples and oranges. Point and shoot and a bridge camera. With the SX50 you'll need a bigger glove box. I plan on buying the SX50 soon. But as soon as I do a new model will come out and the SX50 will drop in price.
