This is an abandoned wood working shop. Took as an HDR. -1,0,+1. The windows in the roof provide a good light and really helped the HDR effect. Canon 7D.

Thanks colo43 :) I did a little more research on the building. It was originally a laundry building. However, later it was used for maintenance trades, such as woodwork, plumbing, and the locksmith.

Wow thats a large building for doing Laundry. But way back then buildings were all large and they housed many things throughout the years. Thank you for the update on it.

It's at an abandoned Psychiatric Hospital. It's on 800 acres and there were about 10,000 patients at one time. It's like a small city. There are still many buildings standing - it was built around 1890 and closed in 1995.

Thanks. I tried it with a flash too, didn't look nearly as good. The filters are very good for the right scene. You're photos always look great - and really natural.

I dunno - nice photo, and restrained HDR, but it Still makes my eyes itch - must be the astigmatism . . .

Lots of room to do just about any kind of work in. I would hate to pay the heating bill though. Where about's is this, Upstate or on the Island? I lived in Smithtown for a year and a half back in the early 90's.
