How do I save a video processed thru version 12 to an MP4 format? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I wish I knew. I don't use this software. I have two editors and both are mp4 capable. Perhaps it's time to consider a different editor unless you can't for some reason.
I'm using Video Pad and TrakAxPC. Actually Video Pad is the more expensive but I get better results through TrakAx. The later seems to have a better handle on rolling shutter, which all dslr cmos sensors have.
