Remembering an old friend! (Pitchfork)

There are times, while shooting wildlife photos, I run into and begin to recoginize certain animals, year after year. Such is the case with this pronghorn buck. I saw him for 3 years in a row, but last year I didn't see him and I suspect he now runs in the stars or in pronghorn heaven.

Anyway when that happens one begins to gain an attachment, much like you do with a friend, or a dog or a cat. It was always good to see him and he allowed me to take many photos that other bucks would not allow. For some reason he trusted me. And thus in a way he became a friend. It's one of my favorite all time buck antelope. My son nicknamed him Pitchfork and that's how I knew and will always remember him.

He wasn't a big buck, but he was one beautiful animal if I must say. What do think of this beauty?

More excellence. I'm sure if the other guys knew how beautiful and famous you made Pitchfork look they'd be lined up for photo shoots.
Good job as usual. Thanks

Beautiful! The best way to "shoot" animals--with a camera.
