Gregory thought I should try to get some morning shots to find our whether I like the light better. The biggest issue is I'm facing east and have to deal with back lighting, but I did like the light at 9:00 AM. These are not arranged according to personal preference but are in the sequence taken. I used an averaged metering for the stilts.

Good set, Vicki, but needs more front lighting (sun behind you). Not always possible, I know. :-) :-)

Nope, the sun was in front and so was a fairly large body of water - no way to put the sun behind. Thanks for looking and taking time to comment.

Thanks Linda. I've been having trouble with the dark to light range on stilts. Too bad these weren't closer so I could have gotten more detail. They really are cute birds.

I love the first Little Egret. We have them around where I live and they are quite co-operative to photograph. Such a beautiful bird.

I think they turned out really good Vicki especially having to shoot into the sun. The snowy looks great, good lighting on the feathers and nice light in the eye. Great job.

Good set, overall, Vicki. My favorite is the egret bif; too bad the wing got cut, but that happens. Other than that, the composition is spot on; the cropping on the stilts is well done. I put the egret flight through a little Photoshop, but I won't post it unless you give me permission; it involved some HDR adjustments, layer adjustments and cloning.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting Trudy. This one was fairly close to the road and I was able to walk along with him as he moved searching for breakfast.
