D7100 Refurbished?

Noticed that Cameta is currently out of stock on refurbed D7100. Any info on when some more may be coming in?Also, any ideas if Nikon has plans to upgrade 7100 to a new model number with more/different features? I would guess one such feature would be an articulated viewfinder as in 5300? Thanks!

The D7100 is relatively new and an upgrade isn't likely before next year sometime, if then. That's also why there are so few refurbs available. I only have one in stock myself as they are hard to come by.

I want to purchase a refurbished one also but i want it form Cameta because they give you a year warranty free! andthere price is 929.00 it was 919.00 a few weeks ago!

I emailed Cameta the other day and this is what they told me...

"Thank you for your email
We don’t expect any more refurbished units before the holidays.
We however don’t know which ones we will get in when we do get more.
Can I interest you in a new unit? The current rebate offers a great price when packaged with a lens.
Please call me directly if you wish to place an order or have any questions
I will be happy to assist you.
Best regards,"

I have owned various Nikons since the 1970's, and I've never had anything break or malfunction. I would be willing to save a few hundred on the purchase and take a chance that it will not need a repair within a year. The amount you would save would probably cover any unlikely work you would need done. Nikon gives a 90-day warranty with refurbs, and you can buy a warranty to fill out the year for a reasonable price. I wish they would follow Canon's lead and extend the warranty to a full year.

My son got a refurb D3100 from Cameta, and bought a two-year warranty that included damage by dropping, and also two free cleanings.

I purchased my D7100 refurbished from Adorama in early Nov. I also had to wait and it was only a short time...you will love the camera! May be in short supply over the holidays.
