To everyone who has asked for a rule change to the Weekly Photo Challenges I am throwing down the gauntlet. STEP UP!

--
As an experiment I changed the rules for WPC 1349 - Freedom to
For this challenge -
Entries MUST be shot within the time-frame. (The Week Of The Challenge)
- Entries without EXIF Data will get a warning if time permits otherwise removed.

To give everyone a chance though I left the door wide open, by saying:
HELP -
I leave it to you to tell your story.
- These are the only other guidelines.

Step Up And Let Your Entry Be Judged Or Watch It Go Back To The Way It Was.

I agree about the shoot within the contest period rule. The only issue I and I assume other UHHers can have is when you're a little bit on the older side and maybe have health issues that preclude you doing that each week. It may be necessary to rely on archives under those circumstances. Of course that would be the exception rather than the rule. Otherwise we may not be able to enter as often as we would like, even if we have a contest-worthy shot.

Thank you Pinky for letting your voice be heard and as most of you know this is one of the reasons it was the way it was.
Thank you again and happy shooting! Steve

I glad you're being strict about shooting during the contest week. It encourages everyone to go out and take photos; not sit at the computer and pull out old pictures!

This one has been terribly hard on me as I have had to remove several photos that really touched my heart. So beautiful, but not within the timeframe.

Thank you for trying this, Steve!

For those unable to get a shot during the week of the contest, there is always Photo Gallery, where hundreds of us are willing and able to view and enjoy :)

It's going to be a barn burner on voting... Laf

I am not for limitations on art. If its the best photo, its the best photo. I've lost photo contests because my entries were "too professional". Puhleese. Also note the number of entries in this weeks contest. I prefer lots of artistic and relevant entries. Otherwise there could be no end to the limitations, time, location, age, (religion, race, age, "special"). Just an opinion but its mine. Also, if its about recognizing the best photographer, fine place challenges. If its about beauty, arbitrary limitations are not relevant and should not be considered.

Bottom line is what is your site philosophically, inclusive or restricted.
