I really cannot decide which of the 3 photos I like best.. There is a little something in each one that I like, but cannot decide on one overall.... I would appreciate some input

Hi Randy,
They are all quite lovely, but #1 I like the best because of the little bit of green on the left hand bottom color. It brings a little bit of contrast. Great composition on them.

All nice but my choice is number three, I prefer that lighting and like the shadow behind the vase. 8-)

I too prefer #3. More detail in shaddow. Even carrying the stem into shaddow. All without loos to flower or vase.

Thanks for sharing,
Regis

I like the first because the walls are a mystery. Where is this? What's going on? Why is there a flower in the dark? More intrigue, more interesting.

I like the first one the best. I like the overall tone and color of it but I love the shadow of the vase on the back wall and the glow of light within that shadow. I also like the way the shadow falls on the bottom (floor). I wish I could see just a bit more detail in the wood at the top, but the that might diminish the shadow of the vase a bit. I do like the photos!

I just had my Wife look at them and she chose 3 also.. That was the one I was leaning toward.. It really is frustrating sometimes when trying to pick one out of similar images.. I even left them for a bit and came back to them.. I really appreciate the input folks.. I have been feeling like I am in a bit of a rut the past couple of weeks and I know we don't see our own work the way others do, so that is why I am asking...Thank you

Like 'em in this order: 1,3,2 All nice...good play of light but the petals of the flower along with the highlight from the vase seems to go well together. ;-)

OK it's 3 for 1 and 2 for 3 right now. What if I vote for #2? Will it mess up your mind, Randy? :) I actually do like #2 very much, but I wish you wouldn't make us choose since they're all stunning!

:) This does prove for every 100 people that may like one of any of our images, there are 100 that don't care for it... You can't hurt my feelings on this.. I used to get upset if somebody did not like one of my images, but have come to realize there is an audience somewhere that will appreciate your work.. This is my hobby and something I enjoy doing and will continue to do as long as I can, I have seen too many people hold back creativity because of a couple critiques or negative comments.. I refuse to do so..

Linda, thanks, but yes you are making it harder... :) Ha.

Photog8, I appreciate that... Thanks :)

Sue, thanks! Ya, the shadow is a big part of it for me anyway.. :)

russthepig, I like your take on that.. Thanks :)

Bmac, I agree on that point... Thanks :)

jjadeco25, I appreciate your input and your time to comment, Thank you... :)

#3 for me, I like the clarity of the crystal vase, the sepia toned back ground and the shadow is clear. I like how its dark around the flower in #1 but I lose the stem in the shadow.

I like shot number one because the shadow has become a subject (maybe even the primary subject) in this image. Great work, Randy!   8-)

They are all nice but there seems to be something missing. I can't put my finger on it.
