This was taken the other day in Studio. This is a 5 light set up. The old table camera left is my wife's great grandmothers. I had to do the shoot and get it back before she found it missing. :) What photographers do to get the picture period correct.
Nice shot. You think the camera is a problem, wait until your wife sees your model.

Beautiful model and shot Bruce. But on my computer it is so dark I can't see the camera. It is very dark. I took your shot and looked in Aperture and brought out the violin and the camera? by doing shadows and brightening it a little. It looks like an old record player to me.

It is dark on this site but It's not on my monitor. Very surprising.
She is a paying model my wife doesn't mind. Beside her husband is in other images with her. I like your reply though, I thought it was funny.
Love it, especially the lighting you used here. Great overall effect. It is also quite dark on my monitor, darker than a Victorian photograph would have been However, the darkness (at least to me) adds to the depth of the shot and the atmosphere of it. Great work.

A really nice well-composed atmospheric-type shot.
I see a Victrola phonograph on the table but no camera?
Nice shot, Bruce, but dark. Maybe the darkness enhances the shot, though.
Dark to me too, but I still like it.
There is no camera, you got it right.
