Still experimenting with light; bananas

This is the product and the setup. Flash is upside down and reflects the red color of the plate underneath the fruit.Had to fly out of the kitchen, just a few samples taken.

The second is to show the setup. It also depicts the available light at the moment of the photo.

I like the photo...Is there a way you can take that photo again , but this time place the flash under the red dish??

The light would scatter sideways, is that what you are ater?

I was thinking it would lite the whole underside with a reddish tone

Only if the plate was transparent, which it isn't but I can find one cheap at some $1 store, I guess.I have to look for that, it's a good idea.

I like these ideas. I'll have to try it with various colored clear glass plates if I can find cheap ones at the $1 store or elsewhere.

No....it doesn't work for me...but if you had also lit it from the top I think you'd have something.

Top lighting was bland and ugly from the top. Been there done that. Now experimenting. I tried many angles, some better than others and this is the one I liked . Strong shadows, I like . I am working on that for Myself.
