That's not true. Every time I get a better camera I swear my photography is better. For sure I feel way better.
Can't wait for tha next better model to come out. When I get it, I'm pretty sure NG will come knocking this time, or maybe it will be the next time.
I just know it !!!

Yes.

But, equipment can make some difference.

Music is another of my passions and one with which I have much more experience than I do with photography. As I play my brass instruments, I have had to come to grips with the fact that the skill of the artist is far more important than the particular tool that the artist utilizes.

Still, I have several horns. I use them in different contexts. Sometimes a new horn (or, more accurately a different horn since I tend to buy used equipment) stimulates me to play in a different way. Sometimes the excitement of accumulating a new piece of equipment just stimulates me to practice more.

Yes, it is always true that the artist is far more important than the artist's tools. And yet ...

I'm a musician too and like yourself I have more time playing piano and keyboard than I do time with photography. World of a difference from a console style piano to a Steinway or Yamaha grand. Same goes for the electronic keyboards I use, can't compare a $500 Casio to a $4200 Yamaha arranger keyboard. But like photography it's the man or woman behind the keys.
