After LindafromMaine told me there were swans in the canyon I went out today to see if we could find them. We didn't find any in the canyon but when we got close to Ellensburg at the other end we did find 6 on one of the ponds. Got a few shots too!

love the last one best!! I love swans...I could watch them all day...they always migrate through here...on their way farther North...then again in the spring on their way down south....

On this side of the mountains we are lucky to get a few that pass through each year. On the west side they get thousands of them each year!

I wish they had stayed around a bit longer. We don't get to see them all that often.

There was ice on the pond and in several spots we tried to get as much reflection as it would allow!

I hope I didn't come across as negative. I was being sincere. I really do like the effect you captured. Smooth ice with little reflection, transition to glass like water, then to rough water. Makes for a nice visual effect in my opinion. Nice capture!
