Tribute to my son - Opinions wanted
This is a photo I am trying to put together (thanks to Ta1on for the idea!!) as a tribute/memorial to my son. Long story short, we lost him in a motorcycle accident in March - girl pulled out into his path and he had nowhere to go. Anyway, we (family) are in debate over the colors... my wife likes the picture but feels it should have more yellows and oranges... The picture is straight from the camera other than layering my son's photo into it. I can't get her to understand that in order to get the colors she wants I might be waiting a long time to catch the right skyline and environmental conditions to capture the colors she wants... all thoughts, opinions, criticisms welcome. BTW - this is my first ever PS Elements project and I like it regardless of what the wife says... :)
Memorial to Austen
Sorry for your loss PuppyDoc.
Your background photo can be color adjusted to bring in the colors that might be more pleasing for your wife.
what a sad story and what a handsome looking boy! My son and husband are both riders and I worry all the time. My heart goes out to you in your loss. The picture is a lovely tribute!
My prayers and thoughts for you and your family through the Christmas Holiday. Wonderful tribute to him.
Sorry for your loss. i can't imagine going through this. Any chance I can get the actual pics and try to get something everyone would like? No matter what you do, I'm sure Austen would be proud. autumnshades@hotmail.com
sorry hear news... keep that an make new one i like this one wanna see other two can compare
I love your picture and it's a beautiful tribute. I too lost a son and wanted to do something along this line.
For the colors you could get them through a number of programs I prefer Photo Explosion and it's under filters. I am pretty sure PS has an equivalent. You could keep your original colors and include a few brighter colors. Play around with it and remember this comes from your heart and it's beautiful your wife would like to be a part.
Sorry for your loss.
My deepest condolences on the loss of your son.
That's really all I wanted to say. I've read the comments of the others on ways to achieve the colors your wife would like and have nothing more to add, so I'll shut up now.
May the Grandfathers help you and your wife to heal from this tragedy.

My heart goes out to you in your loss because we lost a son and this is our second Christmas with out him and he was only 22. Your tribute is stuning and I can feel the awsomeness of power of God and his presense with your son. Be blessed for your sorrow is about to be buried in great joy for he was one wonderful son you had the honor of being blessed with.
Puppy D....so sorry
first of all, I dont think waiting for the perfect sunset to please your wife is a bad idea....but I also think the one you have now could be used until then.
the only thing I would offer would be to soften the corners and straight line of your sons dark shirt, or eliminate it ending his picture at the neck line. BTW, I would have no idea how to do that.
He sure looks like he was a happy guy...nice smile.
I'm a rider myself and I feel your pain after looking at your photo your son was the only thing I could see.your in my prayers this holiday season it truly shows austen looking down on us. Thanks for a great photo. Joe
You can change the colors using PS Elements! The phto of your boy should be larger-at this size he looks like an after thought rather than the center of the concept!
Thanks everyone for the kind words and support. Austen was a great kid with his whole life ahead of him. Nikondaddy - Austen was 22 as well. Such a young age and so much ahead of them. It is particularly hard for me right now because over the past several years, this is a time when he and I would spend some time working on house projects together. Some great bonding memories... and so much work that still needs to be done. Thanks to Autumnshades and GTinSoCal for their help, I have a couple options for my wife to chose from. You guys did some awesome work with the photos and can't tell you how much I appreciate the help!! Merry Christmas to all. May your holidays be filled with peace and joy.
Puppydoc,
Sorry to hear about your loss; as someone already said Austen looked like a fine boy.
Since you got the help you need on that picture, I'll just add; if you need anything more, don't be afraid to ask.
