Might have been a mixup somewhere but I am up early so here you go...

Was out last night over in Québec City....The shot is from a street below the Château Frontenac and the last is a mural on Petit Champlain. These pics are straight out of the box...

Great to see images of another city and so far away as Quebec. The third image was that your flash just lighting up that mural wall as it would have been nice to see the whole wall and mural.
Dave.

No there is a light there and I thought it interesting as it exposed the center only. leaving a sort of mysterious thing on the edges.

Thanks for the reply

I'll try and get a photo or two of an area here which is part of the town but known as New Liverpool as back , way back inthe day ships from there would come over and fill up with wood and the bosses set up living quarters there in New Liverpool. In fact eve ntoday there are descendants of these bosses still around.

For all I agree with you re. the lighting and the questions of interpretation it poses, still it would be nice to see that wall on a bright sunny day.

{{{{Any power outages laterly - we had one last night}}}}

I hope the temps were as mellow and invitational as it looks in your first picture. A lovely scene to walk about in!

Free Sunday coincides with our first blanket of snow covering the ground this morning.
So in honour of the significance of this first snow I share with you these words and pictures:

"Needles of pine quilt a soft warm blanket using hushed hues of faded browns and yawning yellows
as Autumn prepares its winter bed"

"Northern vagabonds of wind and snow
whistle a warning lullaby of winter's approach
and Autumn falls asleep upon a soft white pillow"

Welcome winter
Welcome winter...

A blanket of snow on the ground

No such thick snow over here, no such lovely critter tracks. Like.
