Blemish removal and red skin

I took this photo on Thanksgiving, and printed out the first one before I noticed the blemish. I did a little bit of PP on the second, but how can I get it to seem that the father is less red without causing the daughter to become over exposed. Thanks.
Also, does it seem better to take out a small blemish like this one, or should it be left alone?

Removing any body marks is purely down to preference, in case you did well. As for the gentleman, you could try a lasso round the parts you want to change and the work in layers to get the affect you require

First make a selection of dad's face and make your adjustments then select>deselect and do the same with the little girls face.

Are you saying that you want to reduce the redness if the fathers skin only?

You could get the red out with Lightroom too if you have it. I would also crop it a little tighter...so much love between the two. Accentuate it!

I didn't use Lightroom, as I am not at my main computer...but here is a version that simplifies it a bit.
