What time of day was it shot? Curious how it would look shot at dusk or dawn.

Maybe, if feasible, a little more straight into the tunnel, but still below.

To be honest this doesn't work for me at all. Whereas I might expect a small degree of perspective distortion from the angle you have chosen the verticals are in fact all leaning back which fortunately is easily corrected but does at this stage detract from the pic. The blacks under the roofline and in the lower left shadowed areas are quite crushed so there is little detail though that detail can be brought out by lightening the shadows but at the cost of increasing noise. If you drop the brightness as low as it will go you can readily see that the bright white areas on the top left are actually blown which is why you have no details below the Millbridge sign or on the right pillar. All of the interest in the pic is in the left third as the eye is drawn to the intersection of the vertical support and the horizontal roadway. But the tangled bushes and the right end of the bridge don't really add to the whole pic. Obviously the day was one of those that challenge us all, very bright and very strong contrast so this maybe was a case for a bracketed shot to either HDR or simply merge together in order to bring out details in the shadows and highlights. Where I live there is no such thing as a covered bridge like this and I am jealous because it looks like an amazing subject. But a bright blue day in strong sunlight is probably not the best time to tackle it. I hope this doesn't come across as being too negative because that was not my intent. But as I said, unfortunately, this doesn't work for me.

Hope this helps.

Peter

I'd like to see more of the bridge-- so for me, the perspective doesn't work. Too much of the detail is lost in shadow or overwhelmed by the sky, the brush and the concrete supports.

The light here is not ideal. Bracketed images could be used to add some shadow detail.... or, if possible you could return on a cloudy day or earlier/later time of the day.

I'm afraid the perspective doesn't work for me either. My eye goes to the support structure with large shadow, and to the overgrown bushes.

I would be very interested in seeing the subject from different vantage points with lines leading into or out of the bridge, or some close-up detail, repeating patterns, textures and the like.

Look for my other thread in the photo gallery.
I got to get out and shoot some today. It has other photos of this bridge.
