I seriously wonder about the guy who dreamed up putting a camera in a phone. Why not put a phone in a camera?

That can be a project for you. Could make you a multi-millionaire.

So Bob, to answer the camera, do you leave the 500mm on it, or take it off first ?! Just wondering ?!

Wow, This is great. I didn't think you could capture something like this with an iphone. Now I want it to snow again so I can experiment.

I'm with you, surprised me. Will relay your comment to my Granddaughter. Thanks for posting.

I saw that post, but that to me is not a phone in a camera. Still a camera in a phone. Or are you implying that with that lens attachéd you can do the snowflake. Perhaps so, but that is $400+.
Sorry if I am missing the point of your post.
Happy Thanksgiving to you from the Hoosier State.

^^^All of the above.

And you can buy the QX10 for under $300.

It's pretty cool; just clip it on the smart phone or tablet and suddenly you have a REALLY good camera with either a Sony G or Carl Zeiss lens, full zoom capability for shooting stills or video, controlled by your device.

MUCH better image and video quality than ANY smartphone on the market. The optics alone make that claim possible. ;)

Won't argue that point but not for me. Actually I don't even own a smart phone. The snowflake was done by my granddaughter.

^^^Don't feel bad; I kept the SAME Nokia flip phone for 11 year until the screen backlight died. THAT is the only reason I bought a Smartphone. ;)
