The ponds and lakes here are freezing up so it's time to move Southward for these Canvasbacks.

Hope the migrating waterfowl move through here soon. Nice photo of the landing.
I think though that these are Redhead ducks - based on bill color, lack of sloped forehead, and pattern on wing. I don't think I've seen a female redhead with so much white on the face.
Sure hope to see some Redheads and Canvasbacks here soon.
